With all of the noise surrounding health care today, it’s no wonder that the important thing leadership is focusing on is how to keep their people engaged. Healthcare leaders are the ones who have a strong sense of responsibility for the development of the healthcare sector. These leaders are good communicators. They consider patient service as their primary responsibility. Employees become unstuck and patients feel safer when the leadership starts implementing ways to address employee engagement. When people are engaged, they’re more focused on solving many of the problems their leadership team is buried under. It also means they’re focusing on building more meaningful experiences with their patients.

His family’s faith professed a life of stewardship and community by helping others in need. Brian had set for himself an ambitious career goal – to become a Hospital Chief Executive Officer, and direct hospital services for the community. In early 2003, an Associate CEO opportunity opened for him in Roswell, New Mexico. Over the next several years, he worked in leadership positions at investor-owned, not-for-profit, and public hospitals, many of which were “turn around” situations. In 2013, Brian joined Sunnyside Community Hospital, (later Astria Sunnyside Hospital), when an opportunity became available to be a part of its growth and development.
