Introduction

Brice de la Serviere, is the owner-founder of Brazil Sensations, a Brazilian-based tourism and event planning management Company. To enter the MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Events) market, the company entered its first strategic alliance in 2015. The collaboration proved beneficial for the company as it opened doors to group travel and business tourism, allowing the company to establish a name for itself among French agencies.

In 2016, the company even hosted ‘Famtrip’ – a consolidated familiarisation trip showcasing Rio de Janeiro’s potential to the target audience and clients. In the same year, Brazil Sensations managed logistics for the Beninese delegation during the Olympic Games, thus solidifying their presence in the market.

With Brice’s vision and his partner Chloe Hathaway’s cultural and market insights, the company continued to grow in both leisure and corporate markets. By 2017, the firm secured its place in one of the three official Brazilian DMCs for a major agency network in France.

The COVID-19 period posed several challenges for establishments, and Brazil Sensations was no exception to it. However, with resilience and accountability, the team successfully resolved the issues and achieved 100% resolution in 2021.

The company continued to expand physically and operationally, and by 2023, they had established strategic alliances across Latin America and Europe, further strengthening their presence in markets like Spain, Portugal, Switzerland, Germany and others.

As co-founders, he and Chloe brought different strengths. Brice is a Franco-Brazilian who was born in Brazil, raised between two worlds, and deeply aware of the country’s potential to inspire. His background in administration and finance helped them structure a company that functions with rigour, strong governance, and solid partnerships with international associations.

Chloe, on the other hand, is French but arrived in Brazil at a young age. She fell in love with every aspect of the culture, i.e. the colours, rhythms, and human warmth. She became the creative spirit of the company, dedicated to designing experiences that truly reveal the essence of Brazil. Together, their dual perspectives shaped a brand that is both professional and soulful.

Commenting on how they navigate the dynamics of being both life partners and business partners while maintaining a healthy balance, Brice states working together is both a challenge and a privilege. Their approach is built on complementarity. He ensures that the company’s engine runs smoothly, i.e. administration, finance, and institutional partnerships. On the other side, Chloe brings life to the brand through creativity and innovation.

Chloe, while explaining how she approaches her role as cofounder and creative leader to drive operational success while staying true to the company’s vision, states that Brazil Sensations is about storytelling through experiences.

Hathaway says, “The tourism of the future will either be sustainable, or it will not exist.”

Her role is to ensure that every program they deliver, whether a luxury FIT or a large MICE event, captures the emotion and authenticity of Brazil. She works closely with their operational teams, suppliers, and communities, but always with a creative eye. She focuses on how to transform a place, a rhythm, or a tradition into something unforgettable. It’s about combining organisation with imagination, and ensuring that their guests don’t just visit Brazil, they truly discover it.

Surmounting Challenges

Describing the time period when they faced a major challenge together in the business, the founders stated that the pandemic was, without a doubt, the greatest challenge they faced. Their industry stopped almost overnight. However, instead of retreating, they chose to invest in innovation and sustainability.

They developed their “Agroforestree Events Carbon Free” program, creating carbon offsetting through agroforestry systems in partnership with Agroforestree and validated by UFSCar. This project became a semi-finalist at the Braztoa Sustainability Awards 2025 and strengthened their ESG positioning. It proved that adversity can be an opportunity to innovate and reinforce purpose.

Achieving Milestones

Speaking further on the accomplishments they are most proud of (that reflect their impact as co-leaders of Brazil Sensations), they stated they are proud of many milestones, but two stand out. First, being elected Best MICE Organiser in Brazil and South America at the World MICE Awards 2024, which validated their work in the global incentive and events market.

Second, their recognition in sustainability, particularly through Braztoa’s Sustainability Award, which confirmed that they can combine excellence with responsibility. These achievements reflect their dual impact, i.e. creativity and authenticity on one side, structure and global recognition on the other.

Upon being questioned on how they hope their journey will inspire future entrepreneurs, especially couples looking to build something meaningful together, the founders explained they hope to show that it is possible to build a company together as a couple, provided there is trust, respect, and complementarity.

While guiding the aspiring leaders in the experiential tourism and hospitality industry, they advise them to listen carefully to their clients but remain true to the local culture.
